My journey in art began at a young age. At age 7 I took art classes in Monterrey, Mexico where I was born (‘84). I continued taking art classes in Chicago, U.S.A, where I migrated at age 10 with my family.
As someone with a speech difference (stutter), I’ve struggled to express myself through speech. That challenge pushed me to use art as a way to communicate. My work blends drawing, painting, and design with a focus on abstraction. After high school, I pursued a degree in graphic design, then studied fine arts at Brookhaven Community College in Dallas, Texas.
Eventually, I dropped out of college to travel and experience art beyond the classroom. I visited museums and art galleries across North and Central America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania, learning from the textures, colors, and history embedded in each place.
I currently live and have a studio in Dallas, Texas. My practice continues to evolve through experimentation, reflection, and a desire to communicate the quiet emotions that often go unspoken.
