Born in Monterrey, Mexico (1984) , I began making art at a young age through local classes. At 10, my family and I migrated to Chicago, where I continued drawing, painting, and writing throughout my adolescence. After high school, I pursued a degree in graphic design, then studied fine arts at Brookhaven Community College in Dallas, TX, focusing on figure drawing, photography, painting, and printmaking.

Eventually, I dropped out of college to travel and experience art beyond the classroom. I visited museums, studios, and underground spaces across U.S., Europe, Latin America, Asia and Africa, learning from the textures, colors, and stories embedded in each place.

As someone with a speech difference (stutter), I’ve often struggled to express myself verbally. That challenge pushed me to use visual art as a way to communicate. Art became my language, shaped by rhythm, silence, and intuition.
