I met Kateryna while backpacking in Austria, and her story marked by resilience, migration, and reinvention, inspired this work. Constructed from grocery ads, magazine clippings, and hand-painted textures, the piece reflects on memory, cultural hybrid, and consumer imagery.
Gray-scale limbs reach through vibrant layers, echoing the tension between visibility and erasure. The portrait resists singular interpretation, capturing the fragmented yet dynamic process of becoming.
